The Woolly Dog Puppy Application

Filling out an application is the first step in the process of reserving one of the beautiful Spanish Water Dogs who were lovingly raised at the Woolly Dog Ranch. Some of these questions may seem intrusive. However, we consider it our moral obligation to find the very best home possible for these precious puppies. Our top priority is to find people who are willing and able to provide strong, yet loving leadership so that each Woolly Dog and owner will spend the next 15 years with joy and hope.

Spanish Water Dogs are athletic, energetic, affectionate, and highly intelligent. They enjoy being active and love a challenge. They need plenty of loving attention, consistent training, and proper socialization from an early age. If you don't provide them with strong leadership, they will step in and take charge. We can't emphasize this enough. They can be a handful! Most experts say that this breed is not the best choice for a first time dog owner. We generally agree, but acknowledge that there could be exceptions. But regardless of your level of experience, please consider carefully if this active dog will fit your energy level, your lifestyle, and your work commitments.

We'll contact you as soon as we look over your application. Once we're confident that you are up for the task of caring for this energetic puppy, we'll accept your deposit and reserve a puppy for you. If a puppy is not available, a deposit will put your name on the waiting list. You’ll be in line to pick a puppy from the next litter. We expect to have 2 or 3 litters in the next year.
